How to Make Money on the Web through Blogging

You might want to think about trying to make money on the Web through blogging instead of trying to get ahead in a regular 9-to-5 job.

Lots of people have decided that this is the lifestyle that they would prefer to lead. When you decide to become a blogger you can truly replace your income! This will give you a huge opportunity to work for yourself from the comfort of your own home. This was impossible all that long ago, as the Internet is really still pretty new, when you think about it.

Traffic Traffic Traffic

We all know that the key to our success in making money online depends on traffic, in one way or another. I’m working hard to generate traffic – I need readers for my blog.

I spent this evening signing up for some free traffic sites – not the PPC sites, but a few of the newer ones that have come out recently that are offering free trials while they build up their own traffic.

Beautification Project

Today was the day for the Beautification of the Blog Project. Thanks to some wonderful constructive criticism, I completely revamped the look of Our Debt Free Lives; you’ll have to let me know what you think.

I’ve also been doing quite a bit of reading on some new ways for us to create multiple streams of income and I expect this to be a very productive weekend. Read more »

Thirty Day Challenge Continues

I’ve been spending most of my time on the Thirty Day Challenge. Part of me feels like I’m neglecting my work on this blog, but I know that in the long run it will pay off.

I’ve learned about so many tools, how to select the correct keywords, what to look for, google trends, bloglines, google news and what it means. I could go on forever about how great the Thirty Day Challenge is, but I’m still playing catch up.

Niche Websites

I’ve been extremely busy lately building and promoting a few niche websites. I like to build a website with some good content, so I try to have at least five good, quality pages. After that I write a few articles, then I can run them through JetSpinner, and submit them to a bunch of directories.

I’m still on the path to building traffic without spending any money; this is why I go about marketing my websites this way. It’s pretty efficient, actually, and I get some good traffic going this way.

Google De-indexed Me

I know that this happens sometimes, but it sure is frustrating me right now. I had created a niche site for the Thirty Day Challenge, and it was doing a bang up job for me. It was getting lots of traffic right off the bat, and it met every single criteria for the challenge.

All of a sudden, my traffic crept to a crawl. I checked, and sure enough, that site is nowhere to be found in the search results. I had actually jumped up to the #3 site for my niche, and I think Google may have thought I was created spam. I didn’t; it’s a good site with lots of content.

Up to Speed with Near Disaster

I’m finally caught up with everyone else on the Thirty Day Challenge. That means that now I won’t have to work quite so hard every day, and I can take my time finishing with everyone else.

I had a little bit of a scare yesterday with ezinearticles. I had submitted an article on one of my new blog’s keywords, and not only was it rejected, but my account was suspended. It was my fault. I had rewritten a PLR article that I had, but you’re not supposed to do that with ezinearticles. They recognized it for what it was, and they sent me a nice email telling me “no-no-no” and suspended my account.
