Welcome!
I bought a Lexus early this week and during the financing process, I applied for a Lexus card. Received the card in the mail today and see that my last name is misspelled on the map. Nothing really important. An “e”, where “a” and an extra “t” at the end should have been. (My last name has 9 letters.) Is this something I should be worried or even get corrected? Mind you – my finance applications (I will just re-checked) my name is spelled

correctly.
Thanks for any input!
Best Answer: Finance Stress
Just call the number on the back of the card and have them issue you a new one with the correct spelling.

I already called them (actually – after reading the 3rd post on Saturday I called them.)
New card is on the way. They even offered to overnight to me (for $15) but I'm in no hurry for it.

TU is adamant that I have a middle initial, when I do not. Apparently one of my issuers – can't quite get a handle on which one it is, since none of my cards has a MI on it – keeps reporting it, so it must be right.
If I could ever get a decent answer on which CCC is doing this, I might be able to fix it.
On the UP-SIDE they didn't issue you a card with JOHN NONE DOE or JANE NONE DOE
Somebody reported that it actually happened to them (here or "CR" or "CN")

Reply: yep best to get it fixed with the lender and if you see incorrect names on your CR in the personal info section, maybe dispute with the CRA as well
I wouldn't even think of doing this with the CRA for an active account…..deal directly with the issuer of the card.

deal with the creditor not the CRA at this point.

Reply:Call them and have them fix it. You do not want to deal years later with credit report issues or other issues that could come up. Most likely, a simple phone call is all that it will take to fix .. at worst you will need to fax/mail a copy of ID with the correct spelling.
